In association with the screening of The Winter of the Dance at the Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films, Jeff and I will be dancing live on street corners sporatically throughout the week. On September 24, 2005 some of our friends will be joining us and I'd like to organize a public performance / art installation in Palm Springs at the same time.

I've always thought it would be beautiful to drive through a city and see people spread out for miles dancing... wearing headphones, just off in their own world.... Not like an organized dance show but more of a surreal experience with no distinction between dancer and viewer. Two dancers on this corner; three dancers on the next; and so on. An inclusive event where all one must do to become a part of it is take a minute to step out of their everyday routine and shake their ass.
